TOWN OF PLAINFIELD, INDIANA

A Word from the Owner:

"There was an incredible steel price increase over the life of the project and BCI came to the table with ideas to help keep things on budget. I definitely felt that we were all on the same team. It was great to do a project that I was both proud of and felt I could trust the contractor to do a good job and come in on budget."

--Tim Belcher, Town Engineer

Project: South Wastewater Treatment Plant

Value: 9.6 million

Process: The project consisted of the new construction of a 2 MGD wastewater treatment plant on a new site. The process started with a Headwork’s Building with screening capabilities, an Aero-Mod biological treatment system (over an acre in size), UV Disinfection system and sludge drying beds. The site also has an Operations and Blower Building. The treatment plant process and equipment was ready months before the wastewater was delivered to the site. Due to funding, owner was forced to delay the project for several months, during which time the steel market changed dramatically. BCI worked successfully with the Town of Plainfield to resolve the issues caused by this situation.

A Word from the Engineer:

“BCI's approach was professional throughout the project. Their attention to detail resulted in a very minor punchlist that was quickly completed. An open dialog was maintained on even the most sensitive project issues. BCI was a key team member in making the project very successful.”
