Client: Shelbyville, Kentucky Municipal Utilities Commission Project: Expansion of Existing Wastewater Treatment Plant from 4.6 MGD to 6.0 MGD Value: $ 4 million

Process: Expanded flocculator, settling basin, and operation and lab buildings; renovated and expanded filter; modified clearwell; and upgraded instrumentation.

A word from the plant operator: “These guys go out of their way to keep the plant functioning during new construction. They communicate really well with the plant people so everyone knows what to expect. And their word is true: if they say the plant will be back up on Friday, it is back up on Friday.”
