Highland Heights & Silver Grove Equalization Tanks and Wet Weather Pump Station Facilities

Consent Decree project to construct two equalization storage tanks and wet weather pump stations for two existing SD1 pump stations for storm flow retention. Tanks included two AWWA D110 Type III Prestressed Concrete Storage Tanks with capacities of 1.4 and 1.6 million gallons. Wet weather pump stations provide tank fill rates of 8.3 MGD and 7.5 MGD. Support facilities included new 15” sanitary sewers, Diversion Chambers, cast-in- place valve vaults and relocation of existing force mains and sanitary sewers. Tanks and pump stations include instrumentation to monitor fill rates, tank levels and return rates. Tanks also include non-potable water tank wash-down nozzles to clean tanks after flow events. Contract change orders to date include several owner-directed additions to the scope of work, miscellaneous sitework changes due to differing site conditions and several contractor-proposed credits.
